My name is Amber and I am a massage therapist with unique attributes. I have dark shiny hair and bright blue eyes. Many consider me to be an exotic find in the Mother City.
I have been quite the globe trotter in my young life. I have spent some of my time abroad educating myself in various health and healing practices. I have learned how we can optimise our lives with ease once our focus shifts. When you are keyed into the benefits of health and wellness, your body and mind begin to align. Change does not come overnight. Healing begins with small changes you make every day. For instance, some people change their diets, or start exercise regimens.
Those are beneficial changes, but no two people have the same needs. In saying this, I am encouraging you to look into the healing and health benefits of regular massage therapy. A massage with an experienced therapist is a very effective treatment that can improve your mental state and your physical health. Working out the tension and blockages in your body with my hands will assist in eliminating toxins. My work will also release endorphins and dopamine. These two chemicals are released in the brain when a person is actively stimulating the oxygen and blood flow through their body. This is experienced in combination with activities that excite a person. When you are engaged in activities that give you a feeling of satisfaction your mood will improve. You will want to continue to pursue the activity that gives you this mental reward. Unfortunately not all dopamine hits are healthy. As we well know a dopamine fix from binge watching Netflix till the wee hours may wind up in you being late for work and so on.
The goal for people should be to moderate the “feel-good” activities that do not always have great results in your life. Then mix in activities that offer the same mental reward, but deliver beneficial results to your life. Therefore , a healing massage would be an example of an activity that will not leave you with a hangover. Instead it will have physical and mental health benefits that can last for days.

When I am not working on my therapeutic practice, I generally spend my free time with my animals and art projects.
I am known for my penchant as an animal advocate. I have rescued puppies and kittens from unfavourable environments and rehabilitated them back to health. After that, I have successfully rehoused them to loving families. This is one of my passion projects. I enjoy art of any kind, but my favourite artistic expression has to be clay sculpting and pottery. It gives me a sense of peace and meaning to sit at my potters wheel and mould the clay with my hands. Creating a beautiful piece of functional art is extremely satisfying. I enjoy giving my home decor pottery to friends and family as gifts.
